I. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TRAININGS

Half or full day trainings are customized to fit the needs of organizations committed to educating their staff about sexuality, effects of sexual abuse, sexual harassment and healing.

II. SUPPORT GROUPS & PROGRAMS

Our Brothers, Our Allies - a ten week sexual violence prevention education group for men and boys. By the end of the program, men and boys become committed allies to end sexual violence.

Taking Back My Life - an eight week support group to empower women survivors of sexual abuse and intimiate partner violence. This is a Center of Spiritual Light program that ILERA co-sponsors and facilitates.

Real Love - a seven week educational support group for adolescent girls who have witnessed and/or experienced domestic violence.

III. WORKSHOPS

Hush Hush- a half or full day workshop that educates adults, families and communities about the impact culture has on sexuality. Participants explore their past conditioning about sexuality and discover new ways to create positive images for themselves and mentor others.

IV. KEYNOTE SPEECHES & BOOK DISSCUSION GROUPS

Author DeShannon Bowens delivers customized speeches on sexuality empowerment highlighting her book Hush Hush. Book clubs may contact the author directly to start reading discussion groups.

V. EMPOWERMENT COUNSELING

Adults and couples 21 and older receive 50 minute weekly sessions in Brooklyn, NY. An introductory meeting to determine an appropriate match for the client and therapist is required.
